Molds are a natural part of the environment and can be found almost anywhere that moisture and oxygen are present. They belong to the kingdom Fungi and live in moist places such as soil, plants and dead or decaying matter. Mold inside of buildings can cause severe heath issues.
Mold Inspections consist of a couple different things:
Lead Inspections are done in advance of work, to determine if there are regulated lead levels that trigger regulatory requirements .
An XRF gun is a non-destructive tool designed to perform elemental analysis on materials. XRF guns, formally called XRF analyzers or XRF machines, perform measurements by harnessing the power of X-ray fluorescence (XRF), specifically what is called energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence (EDXRF).
With that we are able to clear a building by conducting a lead survey with an XRF analyzer in accordance with
Housing and Urban development (HUD) Protocols Chapter 7, dated 2012, EPA
40 CFR 745.227.

PACM stands for "presumed asbestos containing material". It refers to thermal system insulation (TSI) and surfacing materials found in buildings constructed before 1980. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers and building owners to treat these materials as asbestos-containing material (ACM). Unless otherwise tested and found to be cleared of asbestos. Therefore, prior to any demolition or remediation that is not part of an emergency mitigation disaster response necessary to eliminate and/or reduce life safety issues; the building materials should be inspected and tested for asbestos.
